On July 4, 2024, the Regent Park Social Development Plan’s Planning Committee held a pivotal meeting to discuss the uncertain future of the cherished “Sunday in the Park” event. However, the focus shifted to the pressing matter of securing funds for “Sunday in the Park,” an annual event integral to the community’s social fabric. Despite its significance, the event faces a potential cancellation due to a $17,000 funding shortfall, with only $7,500-
$8,000 raised so far.
