The fundraising committee reported on efforts to engage residents in deputing at budget committee hearings, led by Walied, with a focus on amplifying voices of those affected by local investments. Walied also updated the group on the Evaluations and Benchmark Committee’s correspondence with the City of Toronto regarding the impending loss of funding for the SDP Coordinator position after May 31. The committee decided to hold hybrid meetings monthly, with the next gathering scheduled at The Birth Center.
For the rest of the meeting, Gail presented a comprehensive work plan framework to ensure SDP goals are measurable and time-bound. An example used in the meeting is how the work plan can be aimed at streamlining tasks and avoiding overrun meetings.
The meeting set the stage for more effective and inclusive planning efforts.
